About

Shimmering dreamscapes dipping tentative toes every now and again into the icy waters of a black-as-tar night
The May Project is the musical branch of Auckland-based multidisciplinary artist Katie Brown.
Ethereal, layered vocals with intricate harmonies (inspired by Katie's background in choral and classical music) floating on a bed of layered, percussive and textural synths, guitars and beats form the backbone of The May Project's sound.
To date, The May Project has been steadily releasing tracks either in conjunction with collections by Etta Every (Katie's fashion label), or as part of projects by The Every Conservatoire (a collective formed by Katie for conceptual, story-driven creative explorations).
The releases have been regularly playlisted on various student stations across New Zealand.
